Care

Care chart

Lining press (p.69) and Vision cell (p.55). Vision bearings are sealed for life — do not lubricate them.

Daily

  • Cam linkages

    Oil points

Clean the press station and apply synthetic lubricant to the cam linkages.

  • Punch / tamper

    Oil points

Clean the press station and apply synthetic lubricant to the tamper shaft, cam, and spring assemblies.

  • Belt inspection

    Conveyors

Inspect for rips, tears, or stretching. Replace as required. Clean only with mild soap and water.

  • Machine table

    Machine

Thoroughly clean the machine table. Remove all dirt and debris.

  • Connections

    Vision

Ensure that all connections are tight and functioning.

Bi-weekly

  • Fiber optic sensors

    Sensors

Clean every two weeks. Gently blow off with clean, dry compressed air.

  • Grease manifold

    Machine

Apply grease to the manifold under the table and verify grease reaches plates above and below the scotch yoke.

  • Drive belts

    Machine

    Check and replace as needed.

  • Main pin oil catch reservoirs

    Machine

    Empty and thoroughly clean.

Monthly

  • Bearing grease zerks

    Conveyors

Apply 2–3 shots of grease to all grease zerks on bearing housings. Recommended: synthetic general-purpose grease, translucent white, food-grade, 45°F max temp, NLGI G-2.

  • Inspection belts

    Vision

Check belt condition. Visually inspect for tears or discoloration and replace as needed. White and black belts are supplied for contrast with the cap color.

As needed

  • General sensors

    Sensors

Wipe all sensors with a clean, lint-free cloth.

  • Camera lenses

    Vision

If focus is poor or the image is dirty, inspect the lens for dirt or debris and clean it gently with a lint-free cloth.

  • Do not lubricate bearings

    Vision

All Vision System bearings are sealed and lubricated for life. Do not lubricate.

  • Air-loss reject default

    Vision

If the machine loses air, it defaults to rejecting all caps. Restore air at the FRL under the infeed, then clear alarms.
