Safety

Read these before you operate, jam-clear, or change tooling. The lining press and the vision cell will not wait for a guess.

Never clear a jam or make an adjustment while the machine is running. Use Cycle Stop for a controlled halt; reserve E-Stop for true emergencies.

Safety guidelines I

Fully understand all operation-manual instructions before operating this machine.

Before attempting any service or repair, make sure the power is turned off and the power cable is disconnected.

Do not place any body parts or tools into a running machine.

Do not attempt to start any machine unless guards are in place.

Proper PPE must be worn while operating the equipment.

Do not operate or perform maintenance on this machine when taking any drug or sedative, while under the influence of alcohol, or if overly fatigued.

Never attempt to clear a part jam or make an adjustment while the machine is running.

Make no modifications to the equipment without consulting the manufacturer of the machine.

Safety guidelines II

Familiarize yourself with all electrical disconnects, shutoffs, and similar devices, and know what each disables.

Always assume a circuit or component is live until proven otherwise by proper testing.

Never remove a lockout device or “Do Not Start” tag. Notify everybody in the machine vicinity that power will be restored when you remove lockout / tag-out.

Lining lockout / tagout

Console buttons illuminate when the machine is powered on. Use the blue System On button to power up from a powered-down state.

The machine is generally meant to stay powered on. To connect or disconnect service, turn the red knob on the electrical panel.

When power must be shut down for servicing, follow all local LOTO policies:

  1. At the HMI, verify the system has been cycle-stopped and is in Manual mode.
  2. Press one of the e-stop buttons to de-energize control power.
  3. Locate the disconnect on the control panel for lockout.
  4. Move the disconnect handle to the off position.
  5. Apply lockout / tagout devices.

Vision lockout / tagout

Console buttons illuminate when the machine is powered on. Use the blue System On button to power up from a powered-down state.

The machine is intended to remain on for periods of service. To power off, turn the red handle on the electrical panel door.

When power must be shut down for servicing, follow all local LOTO policies:

  1. At the HMI, verify the system has been cycle-stopped and is in Manual mode.
  2. Press one of the two e-stop buttons to de-energize control power.
  3. Locate the disconnect on the control panel for lockout.
  4. Move the disconnect handle to the off position.
  5. Apply lockout / tagout devices.
  • Two e-stops only: outfeed corner and HMI console. Reset by turning clockwise.
  • Long-side guard doors latch but are not sensed on the HMI.
  • If the vision cell loses air, it defaults to rejecting all caps.
