Lining · Start-up
Start the machine
From a stopped or powered-down lining machine through the ten-point checklist and a three-second CYCLE START. Check off as you work.
- 1
Power up from a down state
p.13Console buttons illuminate when the lining machine is powered on. From a powered-down state, press the blue System On button. The machine is meant to stay powered; the red handle on the electrical panel is the disconnect for service.
- After a door or e-stop trip, System On also resets the status bar — lock every door and clear alarms first.
- 2
Enter the HMI
p.25With power on, the splash screen is first. Touch PRESS TO ENTER MAIN SCREEN. Heed the status bar: red = a device is tripped or there is an issue; yellow = safety systems waiting for Cycle Stop / Reset on the console; green = systems active and ready.
- 3
Reset e-stops and doors
p.12Use Cycle Stop — not E-Stop — in all non-emergency situations.
The lining system has five e-stops. Reset each by turning clockwise until it pops back up. Their state shows on the status bar as ESTOP 1–5, next to DOOR 1–5 and MAIN AIR. Close and lock all five guarded doors before you continue.
- 4
Confirm air
p.16At the FRL: the pressure-relief valve is the air LOTO point; the regulator shows current pressure; the soft-start valve dumps air on e-stop and restores it gradually. MAIN AIR on the status bar must be ready. Supply is 80 PSI — 5 SCFM.
- 5
Main screen — lock, Auto, vision
p.26On the Main / Home screen: (1) Lock — lock the machine doors. (2) Mode — Automatic (Manual stops the machine for setup). (6) Status — Start the Vision System from here if the cell should run with the liner. Do not start until doors are closed and the HMI is in Auto.
- 6
Ten-point safety checklist
p.68Do not start until this ten-point checklist is complete.
Remove the safety stop, close all access doors, and clear all alarms on the HMI display. If need be, change the recipe for your purposes. (1) All safety guidelines have been followed. (2) The press safety stop is in place. (3) The machine interior is free of dirt and debris. (4) Material is properly fed through the machine. (5) Caps are being supplied to the infeed conveyor. (6) Air and pushbutton e-stops are in the ready position. (7) Access doors are closed and locked. (8) All guards are completely closed. (9) No warnings or alarms are present. (10) The machine is in Auto mode.
- 7
Hold CYCLE START three seconds
p.11Press and hold the green Cycle Start button for three seconds. The machine starts in Auto mode and begins the running sequence. Do not start unless guards are in place. Never place body parts or tools into a running machine.
- A second Cycle Stop Reset sits above the e-stop on the sorter.
- Stack light flashes green while starting in Auto, then goes solid green when producing.
- 8
Confirm running / how to stop
p.14Solid green stack light = producing. Flashing green = still starting in Auto. Solid amber = Manual. Flashing red = stopped with an alarm (red HMI banner). Solid blue = low on material. To halt production, press Cycle Stop Reset — the machine finishes the current cycle. Reserve E-Stop for true emergencies; it immediately ceases all operations.
