3a. Minimum outer area (blue) looks for a liner contour outside the set-point pixel area. Maximum outer area (red) looks for a liner contour inside the set-point pixel area.
3b. Mask offset (yellow) is the ignored outer band. Raise it to mask liner tabs and the shadows from those tabs. Making the value larger limits the size of the moon cut that can be found.
