Oil points • Daily — Cam: clean the press station and apply synthetic lubricant to cam linkages. • Daily — Punch: clean the press station and apply synthetic lubricant to the tamper shaft, cam, and spring assemblies.
Conveyors • Daily — Belts: inspect for rips, tears, or stretching. Replace as required. Clean only with mild soap and water. • Monthly — Zerks: 2–3 shots of grease to all grease zerks on bearing housings. Recommended: synthetic general-purpose grease, translucent white, food-grade, 45°F max temp, NLGI G-2.
Sensors • As needed — wipe all sensors with a clean, lint-free cloth. • Bi-weekly — fiber optic sensors: clean every two weeks. Gently blow off with clean, dry compressed air.
Machine • Daily — table: thoroughly clean. Remove dirt and debris daily. • Bi-weekly — grease manifold under the table; verify grease reaches plates above and below the scotch yoke. • Bi-weekly — belts: check and replace as needed. • Bi-weekly — main pin oil catch reservoirs: empty and thoroughly clean.
